4 Things To Know About A Perfectly Fitted Convocation Gown
Since all of our custom convocation attire is made to measure, your items will be tailored to your specific measurements. When you come in to get a custom fitted convocation gown, here is what you can expect. While no appointment is necessary, we do strongly recommend that you make an appointment ahead of time
1. A tailor or an assistant will expertly take and record your measurements.
2. Typically, the entire measurement process takes approximately 15 to 20 minutes. While you can take measurements on your own, we strongly recommend that your measurements are taken by a qualified professional in order to ensure properly fitted convocation attire. Even the smallest measurement error can change the way your robe fits you.
3. The measurements that will be taken include:
- Head Chest
- Neck
- size
- Sleeve length
- Waist size
- Seat size
4. Once your convocation attire is ready and you come in to try it on, there may be some alterations required. These alterations are done with no charge to you, as they are part of the final process of ensuring a well-fitting robe. In most cases, the alterations can be done in 20 to 30 minutes, while you wait.
